CC: The line is drawn at “it isn’t our fucking business and we should mind our own bodies”. It is not up to us to determine whether or not someone else’s body is acceptable or unhealthy. Our individual standards of healthy do not apply to everyone and our individual standards are not the same as others and other cultures. You cannot gauge someone’s health by their weight. Life threatening amounts of fat cannot be determined on sight. That idea needs to be tossed out. There are people who weigh over three hundred pounds and are in better shape than my skinny ass. Why amI more acceptable just because I “look” like I’m healthy? What the fuck does HEALTH look like anyway? Who got to determine that it meant being skinny/slender/thin. Why is fat automatically equated with unhealthiness? Accepting fat bodies does not mean we get to determine who’s the right kind of fat.

Perhaps you didn’t intend to come off as rude but your wording was weird. None of what I just said is specifically directed at you, rather at society as whole.

Seriously though, these are questions people need to be asking themselves. Instead of accepting society as is, figure out why it is the way it is and how it could be better.
